For those who know me, it should be no secret that I'm a gamer.  I have been since I was a kid, starting with the first Pong game I ever saw in someone's house.  We had most of the major games systems (Atari 2600, Colecovision, Odyssey 2) when I was growing up, in spite of my mom's likely inability to afford them without taking shortcuts in other areas.  Today, I enjoy console and pc gaming, and I even have found little gems in mobile apps and browser-based amusements.  So, I'm going to start chronicling my discoveries of those here.  Most posts in this vein will probably have origins on some other site or by rummaging through online file archives for current or past gems, so I'll give credit where credit is due and try to always post links.

The first thing I'll start with is something fairly obvious.  Fileplanet has a downloads section that included game updates and modifications to existing games.  It also has a fairly extensive list of free games and free mmo game clients that you can dig through for hours and hours.  Go take a look for yourself.
